Wanna see our future dog??

I mean, this isnt literally him but were planning on getting a Bullmastiff. We already picked out a name and everything. lol
Were talking to a breeder who will be having a litter in October so hopefully then! Soooo cute!
Anyone know someone who has a bullmastiff?

Yeah, they usually weigh somewhere around 130lbs!!

Those dogs are crazy! Awesome but crazy.
They eat a TON of food and need to be extremely well trained because they're so big and strong. But they're gorgeous dogs.
A bit of advice, make sure you get one that's non-dominant or you'll have a lot of trouble with it around children.

Oh noooooooo.....theyre so sweet! The reason i want one so bad is because I work at an emergency center for animals and we have this one bullmastiff who comes in all the time for hydrotherapy and he is the biggest sweetheart I have ever met! Im absolutely in love with him and would take him home with me if the owner would let me! lol

But you know how it goes. Its all in how you raise the dog. I mean, theyre definitely scarier looking than a poodle, thats for sure! But I was bit pretty badly in the hand by a d a m n poodle! So you never know. lol

Yeah, we plan on getting it as a really young puppy so that we can mold him to be how we want. My FH is VERY good at training dogs. (not like me, im too nice)

I would love one of those dogs, but my FH was like absolutely no way!! I'm sure we'll end up with a yellow lab one of these days!

my neighbor 2 houses down has a mastiff
i never see it though they have a high fence

I absolutely love bull mastiffs! I love big dogs that you can just love and love. FH has terrible allergies though, so we aren't allowed to have any pets But if we did, that would be the one I would choose!

My FFIL has a Neopolitan Mastiff and he is the cutest thing - I think he outweighs me by 40 lbs and his head is well above my waist...but I love him.

OOOhhh I love those dogs, Congrats Don't know where you live but we take Petey to a dog park in Nassau on the North Shore and there's another Massif that plays there too

FH wanted one and I begged for a puggle which is a bullmastiff in miniature, kinda, but it didnt work and long story short we went with a different breed altogether but they are beautiful, just too big for me

I know someone who has one and he was the sweetest dog...the first time i saw him i was like oh no this dog is gonna be crazy but he was real gentle, calm and great with everyone.

No, theyre born in October so we probably wont get one till its at least 8 weeks old. They have to stay with their mother for a while. So probably in December or January.
