So, my mom and I braved the snowy roads out here just now and I thought I'd share some of the pictures we took LESS THAN AN HOUR AGO! This is of Sound Avenue after they've been plowing all day. Then the others are two of our neighbor's houses where the snow drifts almost covered their doors!
wow! I cant believe how high that snow is! I am soo glad i stayed home today from work and i am in lake grove and the snow here is high too.

Well, we live on the beach, so the wind was about 70mph yesterday, hence the gigantic snow drifts. We tried to walk down to the beach yesterday, but it was physically impossible. We actually tried that old trick of leaning back into the wind and it worked for me! I didn't fall!

I'd believe it! My dad also lives off Sound (by the beach at the bottom of a hill). He's prepared to not go anywhere for a while
He's friends with a local contractor, and they left their bulldozer by his house over the weekend (doing work on a nearby house), so he said he can just hotwire it if things get desperate lol...
the pics of your neighbors' and the road is amazing. Wow.
