Wannabe Marthas (the crafty kind, not going to jail kind) Show me what you have made for your wedding..

I thought this would be a good post since no matter what.. we all end up making a couple of things ourselves..

Thought it would be cool to have ideas posted by the girls who made them so other brides can benefit..

I'll start-- I made these placecard holders for my RD-- the card stock is just a ripped piece of card stock-- but you get the idea.. It's a wine cork with a slit through it...

Thanks- we ordered a bag of used, but clean, corks from ebay.. I put a little stopper in the back- you can use a small thumb tack (I plan to use clear to have it hidden), to prevent it from rolling.

randella you nut! I am doing that as well!!!!! Except out families are DRINKERS and we will have enough corks in just a few months time....

You need a VERY sharp knife to get the slit in there.

#1 These will have white velum on them and will be the place cards. We were originally going to place them on the bottles of wine for favors, but now they'll be hanging from a tree.
#2, 3, 4 I made one for my flowergirl, one for me and a few for my BMs.

I ordered them cause:

a- I am impatient and wanted the corks ASAP

b- I am anal and I want to get everything I can possibly get done now

c- I don't know. We drink lots of wine too- my dad even makes his own. See reasons a & b

I am having trouble with Shutterfly too.

I made:
our unity candles.
the cake topper.
the favors.
the place cards.

I specifically took pics because I was so happy with all of it too...

Thanks! I think I spent all of 5 bucks on each t shirt. I was just bored over the summer so I did them then. Plus, I thought it was ridiculous to spend 26 bucks on them!

Finally!
This is cheesy, but I really wanted this for FH since he loves Star Wars.

Our placecards, which are bookmarks. I found vellum paper with love quotes, which I fit to the bookmark.

The unity candle, which looks better in person. The tapers are the same without the flowers. I saw something similar for $25, I think this cost $10 to make.
