Want to hear about my morning?

Want to hear about my morning?

This morning was one for the books! I'll start with, guess what time I got to work today? 10:15AM!!!!! Hello, I changed my hours to 9-5 since I've been back, can you say LATE???? Why you ask? Here's my morning...

I went out last night with my friends that I grew up with. We haven't all been together for about 2 years (someone always misses a dinner) and my one friend, who had her second baby the week after me, planned it all, so I couldn't say no. It was the LONGEST time I was away from Gianna EVER and it was really hard -- especially since she was asleep when I got home!

So I come home at 10:30 and Joe is out cold on the couch and there's a sinkful of dirty bottles that were supposed to be sterilized !! But whatever. He is very good with helping me, he just fell asleep because he was tired! Well hello buddy, I'm not sleeping beauty myself lately, but whatever. So I go to bed and get woken up by my little cub at 3:30 who's hungry!! I give her the bottle, which I was glad about because I got to spend time with her . Back to bed we go.

Get up and do my marathon shower and getting ready to get out of the house and to my mother's by 7:30AM. In the meantime, Nanny wanted me to leave Gianna with her because it was cold out, but it was my mother's day, so I said no, plus it wasn't that cold out (and a little fresh air isn't going to hurt her). Get to my mother's, climb up THREE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS with all my crap and feed the baby before I go to work.

Leave my mother's (by the way, my mother lives in Astoria and I live in Maspeth, in case you all forgot -- a 10 minute car ride w/o traffic) and go to drive down to the train so I can get to work. Find a parking spot ASAP (this after the heLL of yesterday when I drove around 40 minutes) and start walking to the train -- it's 8:15.

Now I decide to turn on my cell phone and when I do I get a voicemail. So I call to find out who it is and lo and behold it's my mother telling me to call her before I get on the train because my father doesn't feel good. He's having 'chest pains'. I don't know if I told you this, but my father has a heart condition and has been in and out of the hospital (for years, since I was 8) -- as a matter of fact he was in the week after I had Gianna and I told him he should've picked the time I was there so we could be roommates! Off on a tangent, I know.

Ok, so I have to drive back to my mother's -- in the meantime, I have no gas and every gas station was packed -- were they giving it away free today? I finally get to my mother's -- back up the 3 flights of stairs -- bundle Gianna up again (the poor kid didn't know what the heck was going on -- wakes up in her house, then wakes up in her Nanny's house, and then wakes up in her other Nanny's house ) and off I go BACK to Maspeth to leave her w/Nanny -- who wanted me to leave her w/her in the first place!

Get her all settled with Nanny and off I go BACK to Astoria. Finally find a parking spot, get to the train and of course, it leaves! Get on the next one only to be told 'next arriving train is leaving first', of course! Then the only good thing that happened all morning was the announcement 'this train will be express after Astoria Blvd' There is a God!

I get here at 10:15, call my mother, my father answers and is feeling just fine and dandy! The man always feels horrible when he first gets up (he has spinal stinosis in his back, along w/arthritis, so he's in pain when he gets up -- plus he's a bag of bones and thinks the pain from his back is his heart -- very thick headed Calabrese -- testadura )!!!!!!!!

So, I did all this for nothing!!! Meanwhile I am so tired, I don't know which way I'm going when I get out of here!!!!

And that is my wonderful day from heLL!! I cannot tell you how happy I am that I have 4 days off!!!

And the best is, my wonderful hubby calls to tell me how he's sooooo tired !! I know, helping his grandmother watch Gianna must have been a hardship!!!

Gotta love him!!
