Want to know the little things you are doing for your wedding

I am having an insane amount of candles...they were cheap but make such a big difference (candles to make make it look so elegant).

im also having a cigar bar, advice jars, flip flop basket, bathroom baskets, signature drinks, weddings pictures of mine and FH's parents and grandparents from when they got married, personalized menu's and ceremony programs, a guest book tree for guests to sign instead of a typical book.... humm I think thats it but im not sure at this moment lol

There is a thread on this maybe you can do a search. But here are mines.

- DIY invitations, menus, place cards, donation cards (our monogram will be places on most of these items)
-Channa Plaque
-Uplighting
-Steel Band for Cocktail Hour
-Bathroom Baskets
-Signature Drinks

Here are some more ideas but I won't be doing them...the list can go on forever but these are very popular...

-VH Hour or Chocolate Fondue (depending on your budget)
-Mash Potatoe bar
-Slipper basket
-Photobooth

My wedding has a theme ... Great Gatsby Garden Party

I am having a pianist play ragtime type music for the cocktail hour.
I am using feathers in my centerpieces.
I am using other props form the era as well such as parasols and pearls.
We are having our signature drinks after the era as well ... an old fashion and a gatsby-tini!
we are having a Cigar roller

I cant think of anything else right now but I an trying to have the wedding have touched of the theme without looking like a costume party.

I will have a photobooth so I will be using the frames as table place cards. I have created a monogram on ppt which I will be puttin things on like the table seating, oot baskets, bathroom baskets. We will also use the the extra photobooth pics as a guestbook instead of the traditional guestbook.

I got tons of ideas from this wonderful forum!

Colored table cloths to accent our centerpieces(which the venue is providing the linens).

Honestly decoration wise we are doing very little (we lucked out with an awesome florist quote and the Westbury Manor is just gorgeous reguardless).

To make our wedding more memorable we aren't doing the tosses (sorry hate 'em) and we're dancing with our grandparents in addition to the FD and MS dances. Also we are watching ballroom dancing DVDs to put a little omph into our first dance.

We've been together since we're kids so in the centerpieces we are putting copies of some of the old love notes we wrote to each other.

I think the more meaningful the detail, the better - it doesn't have to cost 1,000 dollars if it comes from the heart!
