Warning to all dog owners with Varikennel Petmate
My beagle is a bit stressed out with my husband leaving and the new move.
The other night he did this to his crate. He sleeps in this crate with the door open and has done so every night for the past year. Well I put him in a midnight on friday and got woken up to him baying at 1am to find this.
Please be very careful if you have this type of crate/kennel since your dog may be able to do the same. I have been in touch with Varikennels/Petmate about it and they have told me they have changed there product since we purchased it and now the window areas are metal so that a dog can't get its teeth around it and chew the window out.
Luckily I work at a Vet's office so I knew what to do and what to look out for since Byron ate so much plastic. He also chewed it down to very small pieces that luckily I was able to get him to pass all of it without having to have emergency surgery done.
So please be careful.
