WARNING__TRUE STORY!!!

Original post by curiousgeorge

My new sister in law went to a bridal shower in Holbrook the other day from 12pm till 4pm, it was a resturaunt/bar. The bride to be left her Camera, 1000k worth of gift cards.checks and cash in her car (LOCKED) with tinted windows. Somene smashed in her windows in daylight and stole EVERYTHING!!! Even the photos that her friend took ( a professional photographer ) of her entire shower. Her camera was worth 1000k itself but the photos pricesless!!! ALL ARE GONE...shes so upset. I just wanted to share this. For those of you who have not had your shower yet....its so easy to just be sooo excited and not be thinking about anything!!!! I remember mine!!! I told my FH at the time to just leave the pick up truck outside Saying ' NO one is going to steal anything' Im so naive, thank God he decided to take everything home and put it away!!! Make sure you have someone come and take all of your stuff!!! Ugh I feel so bad for her!!!!

Re: WARNING__TRUE STORY!!!

I am so sorry to hear that happened. If you have to leave anything in your car it's best to leave it in the trunk. It is easier to break a window rather to stand there at the trunk fidgeting with the lock.

Ohh My God, this is soo devastating. I hope they catch whoever it was. It is soo easy to be naive and think nothing is going to hasppen. I have done this many times, leaving valuables in the car. You never know who is watching.
