At 20 weeks, I FINALLY feel the baby kicking. But it is not a butterfly like flutter that everyone describes. It feels like pinches that hurt mommy. I was waiting so many weeks for the beautiful fluttering feeling everyone was talking about, but I always was feeling these hits from inside that I ignored. Now I can't ignore it! It is so weird. I love it but it is a little, little painful. On the plus side, my DH, mother and MIL all felt the kicks! Yay!

After 30 weeks I just wanted the abuse to end. Sometimes its just downright painful. Hang in there you've only got 20 more weeks

Is that sarcasm I hear? I know you BTDT mothers are just laughing at me. But I cant handle the pinches at 20, how can I do the crazy kicks later on??? Ouch!!!!

Thank you so much for asking this!!!! My DH thinks I'm such a drama queen because about once a week or so the baby will kick and hit so hard simultaneously that not only does it hurt but it startles the heck out of me. But the rest of the time its just little kicks. (I'm 30 wks)

I thought I was alone. I love how most people say it feels like a flutter. I NEVER had the chance to feel a flutter my little girl is practicing to be a rockette. She doesn't stop. I am glad to feel her kick but it is endless.

See...this is the one thing I am so afraid of...I don't want it to hurt...I'm only 12 weeks now, and of course I haven't felt anything yet...

Yeah sometimes he would kick at my side. Over and over like he was trying to tenderize me!!

The kicks really started hurting after 28 weeks, and by the end it was so bad that it would sometimes bring tears to my eyes!!! My DH used to call me 'dramatic'...but when Nicky came out and DH saw the size of his feet, he felt bad..... At 20 weeks the kicks definately did not hurt.

Believe me, there is no laughing at you its more of cringing in pain with you. I remember how uncomfortable it is but there is nothing you can do about it.
