was I bridezilla?

Okay so a friend of mine just got engaged this past thursday and today she says that she was thinking about getting married may 2010...I'm getting married in may 2010...and I started fuming...is that bad????

I didn't say anything but I was pissed. ***

good thing she decided to change it to october....***!

I don't think you were a bridezilla because you didn't say anything to your friend.

IMO though, this wouldn't bother me. I feel like there are only so many months in a year and sometimes people just have their hearts set on a certain month, and they aren't trying to take your day or anything like that.

Although I am sure there are people who just like to steal other people's spotlights. So depending on circumstances, I could see why one would be mad about this.

I would be BEYOND Bridezilla if that happened to me!!! I will be mad if someone close to me gets married within like six months of me lol

Friends of ours got engaged 7 mths after we did both in the bridal party and she wanted to get married this October of 2009 and i was upset at first but didnt say anything she moved it now to April of 2010 thank god it s after mine and she is not in my BP anymore she dropped out because she wants to save i think is common to be pissed lol

I would be a little upset, my parents good friend son got engaged this past march - and they decided to have there wedding 5 days after mine!!! they are getting married on a thursday - I am a little upset because I grew up with him, he is like my brother - and I am not going to see him get married!!!!!

I would react same as u did. not bridezila at all. why setting the date so close to urs? I wouldn't want to set my date in the same month as my friend, just doesn't make sense

I think its a tad much.

We do not own the year or month in which we get married. People are free to do whatever they want for their wedding. Our wedding is not the be all end all of their world. Unless her day directly impacts YOURS (as in, the same day), there's nothing you can do.

A friend of mine got engaged yesterday and wants her wedding in May 2010 too. My wedding is in Early April...as long as it's not the week of my honeymoon ... I'm fine with it. More drinking and partying !! woooo

i would be peeved too.. my friend who just got engaged a few weeks ago is getting married this September!!

i was a lil crushed about that.. i didn't see the need to rush..

but yea, same month, i'd be losing my mind..

i would be upset too if my friend set a date in the same month. at least you didn't say anything to her face about it. you have every right to be upset.
