Both. I think he's a cutie, but he made me laugh so hard, that it made me want him more.

Well when we first met I couldn't get my eyes off of him..lol. But I am a b1tch and don't give my number out. So then we became friends and his personality is so amazing that I couldn't get enough of him. He is the only person who can make me laugh when I am at my most miserable.

When I first met FH, I didn't like his look (his haircut made him look middle-aged) and I thought he was arrogant and condescending (he was insecure). As we became friends, he refined his appearance (haircut, lost weight, new clothes that I helped him pick out) and we gradually got together.
My answer, it was neither at first and then both later

ooh both!! there was instant chemistry between us the night we met & i was so impressed with his sense of humor & self-confidence! i was gushing the whole night!! its still amazes me how we fell head-over-heels for each other right away!

Definitely both!
In the first instance, I was attracted only to the physical appearance, of course, but then if the guy was a boring idiot I would have obviously walked away! He wasn't! I really, really loved spending time with his right from the start! His presence was both comforting and arousing! Still is!

I thought he was cute in a way, but when he opened his mouth, he was jerk. It took us three months beofre we got together because everytime he opened his mouth, he said something stupid. I think that's what kept me interested~the fact that he didn't fall for my charm...

Defintitely personality. When I met DH, he made me laugh so much and was so friendly and very smart and ambitious. He was 100% my type personality wise but not really my type looks wise (or so I thought - I thought he was cute just not my type - I never dated an Italian guy (dark, hair, eyes and complexion) and a guy under 6'2' and most guys I dated had light hair and eyes). But his personality won me over!
