Do you think it is better to have your bridal party all meet up in a salon to do hair vs. have someone come to your home? I ask because I think it would be easier for the girls to have their hair washed and blown at a salon vs. the house. It is probably more affordable, too. What are you all doing?

I'm going to a salon with my girls instead of having someone come to my parent's house to have it all done. It would be to hectic at the house if someone came to do hair there.

It depends on when you need to get ready by. I have an early afternoon wedding and some salons are not open at 6AM.

We are all getting done at the same salon. It seemed the easiest approach because they had a few girls to get us all done at once

i am having everyone go to the salon. i guess it depends on your time frame, location, etc.
but just to let you know, you are usually supposed to wash your hair the night before having an up-do b/c the oils in your hair help keep it up all day. so if that's the case, you won't have to worry about everyone having their hair washed and blown out that morning.

My mother insisted that I should have someone come to the house to do my hair and hers as well, but I want a very simple hairstyle for my BMs so I think it's best if they go to the salon and then just meet up at my house. It will be a lot quicker this way. Also, I don't want them to feel obligated to spend so much money for hair and makeup.

i'm going to have the hair dresser at my house. i think it is easier and more comfortable to have it there. it adds something special to it. also my video/photographer will be there taking some pictures.

i'm having everyone wash and blowdry their hair the night BEFORE and then having someone come to US the day of to style it. Hair is usually easier to style this way.

I am having everyone go to a salon. The salon is also where the make-up will be applied. It saves us money and time. Make-up at the salon is a lot cheaper than having them come to you. It is also more convenient because the house will be hectic and more stressful for you. Of course, it also depends on how far the salon is from you house. You do not want to go to a place too far ....you might hit traffic...,etc.
My make-up will be done by 'Make-up by Helen' in Bensonhurst Brooklyn. She has a small store and my time will be blocked for three hours. Nobody besides the bridal party and family members are allowed in. They are also going to serve us breakfast and mimosas. all is included in the deposit I provided her to save the date. The deposit was not high and I think it is worth it.
