Washing the floor and fabric things dogs use....

I was wondering how often and what do you use for the things your dogs sleep on?

Scooby sleeps in a bathroom with a tile floor. When he misses his potty I use Nature's Miracle. But for ordinary clean-up, what is best - Clorox, ammonia, detergent?

What about the towels or pads he hangs around on all the time? I'm wondering since he has allergies if these things should be washing very often? What is best to use for these?

Thanks.

I have two cats, no dogs, but I guess the same precautions apply.

They have asthma so I am very cautious with their bedding. I use Nature's Miracle laundry detergent made for animals. It is pricey so I sometimes alternate with a regular scent-free allergen detergent like ALL. I try to wash their bedding every 1-2 weeks when possible.

I try not to use anything harsh on the floors. Nothing with too strong a scent. I'm thinking to switching to just vinegar and water on the floor. If I use my Swifter I always rinse the floor with 2 moppings of water and make sure it's really dry before they go on it.

What kind of floors do you have? I use Nature's Miracle on wood as well as tile and it seems to do the job - but it needs to be poured on liberally and let dry on its own.
Do you think vinegar/water combined would take away urine odor?
