Waste of time?Hershey Kisses flags

So, I was so excited because I was making the little tags that stick out of the hershey kisses that say 'Life is Sweet'-Vinnie and Jen

And I was told, its such a waste of time, everyones going to eat the kisses and throw them away...

I just thought it was cute? It is a waste?

What we did which was really cheap and easy was bought a bunch of those round avery labels and printed sayings on them and stuck the round stickers on the bottom of the kisses.

Honestly I think people will not read the tags, but if you put a sticker on the bottom of the kiss, it will stand out more.

i think that's adorable! unfortunately my eye sight is getting so bad that if i received them i'd probably assume they were regular kisses and not look at the flag.

You can order the kisses with personalized messages on them through the hershey's website I was going to do that for my eparty but it was too late to order them but its a cute idea but making the flags might be too time consuming

It's a really cute idea... but do you have to individually unwrap and then rewrap each Kiss? I would soo not have the patience for that.

not sure how many you are planning to deal with, but i definitely say NOT worth the time and effort. i think hersheys lets you customize them, in which case it's worth the extra money as opposed to making your own and rewrapping.

plus, i think its a little gross to unwrap and rewrap all of the chocolates.

we did hershey kisses too and decided even the circles on the bottom were too much of a hassle and i decided i wasnt crazy about how they looked. i think doing the flags is a cute idea, but it took us long enough to count out 50, box them, put labels on, wrap them, etc. but then again we are also making 170

i dont think guests will really appreciate it as much as they should for the effort it would entail

ETA: $250 for 25 lbs (2375 kisses) that say 'just married' --- WAAAY not worth it IMO. We got our kisses in big bags from costco and cut coupons and got amazing deals on our hugs from CVS and it cost WAY WAY less than that.
