Sorry if you saw this post already but I don't want this to happen to anymore brides. Be careful when you sign your contracts--especially with catering halls in Nassau County because you will lose all your money should you cancel. The Sand Castle will charge you 75% of the total wedding even if you cancel more than 6 months in advance. Other catering halls may make you pay 50%. In Suffolk however there are laws that prevent catering halls from doing this because they deemed it an unfair practice. So, please be careful. I even had a woman who works In Nassau County Consumer Affairs tell me that she tells all her friends and family not to use catering halls in Nassau because she hears these complaints all the time and there is nothing they can do!!! BE CAREFUL AND GOOD LUCK!!!!!

This seems to have been originally posted a few months ago...I think it was only bumped so some of the newer 10'ers can see it just so they are made aware....
Alot of the places FH and I are in love with are in Nassau....we wont let this scare us away...
