Seems inexpensive for the area. Have you seen it?

Exactly my point, I know where it is too and I was looking at houses not in the channel for a lot more than that and they needed a lot of work.

Since it is a for sale by owner, I emailed the woman to see if she could send me pictures of the bathrooms, kitchen and rear deck. Also wanted to find out the property size, and if it had a driveway or a garage.

If that is the house I think it is That house was for sale almost a year ago my friend actually rented the house on the end of the block he had bigger property b/c is was on the turn of the dead end... the lot is soo tiny the houses were right on top of each other, If I remember correctly it is down a dead end narrow street, no driveway, everyone parked on the curb

I think I know what block you are talking about - I was wondering which street it is on - I know there is one block that is alot like you described.

It look like a very narrow property but when the canal is your backyard, you won't feel closed in.

Good luck!

Im not interested in it. I emailed the woman for anyone else that may be interested in it. Most of the blocks in that area are dead ends, and the properties are narrow. You will be surprised though, a few of them have driveways

That is so nice that you post these for other too see
And it never hurts to look, too. We hated our house from the picture, but fell in love with it when we got there. Our RE broker was the one who convinced us to go look.

A lot of the houses on the canal look so small but yet they extend far back and the properties are nice sizes - so your are right you just never know. DH and I always admire the backyards of some of those houses. But there is one street in particualr - tha t is very cramped. I nkow my cab always picks someone up on that block and he has a helluva time trying to turn his car around. It is crazy but the block had some old looking houses on it but they are all getting revamped and look great! (PS I live in S. Bellmore and DH and I are always driving around the neighborhood looking at houses - welike looking.)

Danielles sister lives in S bellmore. We went to an open houses at one of those canal front houses once, and found out they were asking $599k. The houses was amazing on the inside and redone really well. I think it was on the tight block
