Waterbeds...

Any of you girls had a waterbed & then bought a regular mattress ?

We are in the process of doing that & Im wondering what type of mattress to get , ?

I know pillow top is probably most compatable to a water bed , just seeing if anyone else has been here ,

hmm, never had a pillow top so i don't know about that but i swear by the tempurpedic bed-- OMG swedish sleep system is HEAVEN!!!! i would give that a try-- otherwise, my sister has a sterns and foster and loves it...

but the tempurpedic is my fave... they have 'knock offs' at bed stores that, to me, are like the same thing for a lot less money. i love the pillows too-- they are like an amazing FOAM but still firm!!!

Does somewhere like sleeepys or sears have that ?

actually i think sleepys has the knock off-- but they are supposed to be the best knock off there is! other than that, brookstone or a tempurpedic store (they have them in a lot of malls)... apparently the 'sleep system' was designed by Nasa-I have a friend with major back problems that SWEARS by the mattress and I love mine! It was pricey but worth it-- I mean, you can have mattresses for like 20+ years if you want! So to spend on something you use for that long is understandable... then the knock offs, my friend jason has one, i've laid on it-- VERY nice and to me, is the same thing and he paid a lot less, so it's your choice...

ETA: ooooh looks like sleepy's sells tempurpedics as well as their own 'version' of it!!! lucky duck-- that makes it so much easier (i got mine from brookstone so i was unaware of that). you can def haggle with them to get the price down!! sleepy's salespeople are good like that...

No, a Pillow Top Mattress is actually like a reg mattress put has another layer on the top (mine has one on the top and bottom so you can flip it) that is called 'a pillow' for extra comfort. My mattress is like 20' thick, when we first got it I had to literly jump onto the bed to get on

I want that bed so bad!!! Right now we have the temperpedic mattress topper and pillow. It's so comfortable, but I want a full mattress of it.
