Waterfront Ceremony

Does anyone know of somewehere that is on the water that I can have a ceremony only? My RH is on the water and we are scheduled to have our ceremony there however.....

I want to find somewhere different to have our ceremony because I want to be able to take some of our pictures somewhere different than our RH.

FH and I dont want to take the pictures before the ceremony( we want to keep the tradition of seeing each other for the 1st time at the ceremony) so unless we leave the cocktail hour (which I dont want to do) I will have to take all of my pics at the hall.

If anyone has any suggestions of a ceremony place on the water please let me know.

Why dont you check with local towns who have beachfront property. I live in South Massapequa and there are a ton of little beach areas around here. If you call the individual town halls, etc, they may be able to give you information regarding permits needed, parking, locations, etc.

Good luck! HTH

Ahhh!! I'm having this same problem!

I was thinking the Sunken Meadow Pavilion. It's beautiful there.

But if my RH says we can take pictures on the beach, I'm going to make the photographers do the quick picture thing because I want to enjoy my CH...

That is a good idea. After our ceremony we are going somewhere to take pictures before the RH. I am not sure where yet. We might do the beach or parks where they have the flowers in bloom.

Yes, Argyle Park is REALLY nice. Be careful with all the duck/goose poop everywhere though. There's also Montauk Point Light house, maybe Fire Island too, the Nautical Princess wedding boat, Beach Club Estate on Lake Ronkonkoma, Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst (i think). My friend just got married there and he had great things to say about it. It was really very nice. :)

good luck!
