Waterfront Locations

Stan Weist was kind enough to post several waterfront yacht/country club locations that he recommends. Wondering if anyone has any experience/comments with any of these.

Nissequogue Golf/Country Club

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club

Southward Ho Country Club in Bay Shore

De Seversky Conference Center in Old Westbury

Thanks!

Southward Ho is a private club. I believe you need to be sponsored by a member to have a function there. I have been there many times - the food is ok but nothing special, service is fine.

DeSeversky is wonderful - food and service are outstanding. But you it will be tight if you have over 130 people for dinner and dancing. I think say they hold 150 but I dont know how.

I dont know anything about the other two.

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club is private, so I would imagine you have to have a sponsor in order to have your party there.
DeSeversky is gorgeous, but really $$$ - I called for my own wedding, and they quoted me (I think) $190 pp, plus a site fee, which was at least a few thousand dollars.
If it`s within your budget, I hear it`s amazing!

What about Rivera in Massapequa? Or Port Jeff CC? That`s a popular hall....

I didn't think that the De Seversky Center was waterfront? We looked there when we were planning b/c I want to school on that campus. It wasn't what we expected. It has a very old Victorian type feel: if that is what you are going for then you should go look at it. They do have beautiful grounds though.

actually, that's right....

..unless there's a pond or something, DeSeversky's too south to be on the water. It's right off Northern Blvd.

Thanks

it's out of the question anyway - $190pp.
