Watermelon Martini

Watermelon Martini

The recipe is from today's Oprah show.

4 cups of watermelon(with the rinds, seeds removed)
1 cup lemon vodka
1/2 cup cointreau or triple sec
2 limes, squeezed
1 cup of ice
1 tablespoon of sugar

In a blender, combine the watermelon chunks and puree. Remove puree fruit and pour it into a pitcher and keep very cold, even a little frozen to make it icy.

For two generous martini's, add one cup of watermelon puree, 1/4 cup of lemon vodka, and one tablespoon of cointreau or triple sec to the blender with three ice cubes and blend. Pour into a nice festive glass and enjoy!

I saw that, it looked so delish! The only thing is, on the show they poured the vodka into the halved watermelon, and let it sit for a while so the watermelon absorbed the vodka. Then they also added some to the mix when the put the cubes in the blender. I can't wait to try the recipe!

I have that recipe. I LOVE apple martini's. I also have a recipe for key lime martini.
If anyone wants it i will post it.

I recommend the apple one. taste just like an apple jolly rancher
