Watermill

Watermill

Hi! I'm having my reception at the Watermill next November. We are having our cocktail hour in the Astor room and having our reception in the Vanderbilt room. I was wondering if anyone has pictures of the Astor room set up for cocktail hour? Also, what's a good hotel to stay in our wedding night? Thanks in advance!

I have our room block at the Sheraton Hauppague - and I am using the Presidential Suite to get ready in the day of and for our wedding night.

I checked out all the hotels and I liked the holiday inn express the best, especially since they give you free shuttle to the watermill and back for your guests. None of the other hotels over there offer that.

We are doing the same! They are also the only hotel that offers a free hot breakfast, along with the shuttle. There are nicer hotels out there, but the value that the Holiday Inn has is the best. :-0

We visited ALL hotels in the immediate area before booking. We went intitally with the Holiday Inn Express because of the free shuttle. However, their service was TERRIBLE... never getting back to me. And then to top it off they wouldn't put the free shuttle in the contract even though they guarantee it. I moved on after that and even put in a complaint to the watermill about their service. I checked out the Sheraton, Marriot, and the Hyatt. I loved the Marriot, but they make you responsible for 80% of the rooms that don't book. UNREAL. I went with the Hyatt. GORGEOUS rooms, professional service, and by far the best rate. HTH!

Who were you working with at the Holiday Inn? I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them. They have always been so responsive and the shuttle is in my contract.

I booked with the Marriott. They have a bar and restaurant that is open late for your guests.
