I believe that ther are different menus depending on your quote.
Since I am getting mixed reviews on the food from Watermill, I am afraid that my food might be horrible considering I got a really good price.

I wouldn't worry... I see your date is in January so I think that is the reason for your good price.
Although I've never had their food so I cannot vouch for them.

When you look on their web site...it looks like they only have one menu. Regardless, even if you got a cheaper menu, the food will still taste the same...I'm assuming they just give less options or something. I'd call them and ask, so you dont stress about it

We booked there and i have heard nothing but wonderful things about food and service. I would think if you brought it up to the BM they would be all over ensure high quality. I know that they do have different menu's but i would not think tast or quality would be less. The menus make not have, filet migion or lobster but less expensive meal options, and i think not ice sculputure at CH or carving. You can ask and they will tell you. It's your day speak up, they are there to serve.

I think you got sucha great price because of tehtime of year. Me & FH went to look atteh Watermill & they quoted us 75 pp for Feb (not VDay) but with the best menu & everything. We didnt book with them but i wouldnt worry.
As for the food. Recently i have heard mixed reviews as well but i would discuss it with the BM & remember every RH will have a bad review now & again no RH is perfect all of the time NOT ONE!!! NO worries.

FH and I went to a wedding there a month ago and the food was amazing. The cocktail hour was something to be seen. Don't worry! I belive they cut things like hand rooled sushi, the seafood boat, maybe they will only offer a beef, chicken and fish at dinner. It will still be great!

Re: Watermill concerns
we got a relly good quote for july .... our contract states we get the estate menu.... i belive they just updated the site there seems to be a lot of new pics.i didn't see the estate menu listed in the options on the web site but it's all basically the same stuff. I have no worries with the watermill. I'm very optomistic that it will be the perfect day there

Thanks to everyone for their replies. You guys have put me at ease but I am still just a bit worried. I think that I will keep looking because this will bother me for the whole year and three months that I will be waiting!

I went to a wedding there about 1 year or two ago, and I thought the food was great. I had no complaints. Why don't you try tasting it all and going over everything you want with the RH..?? Good Luck

ITA We looked at Watermill and were on verge of having it there (decided on someplace else for sentimental reasons), and when we met with Bruce he gave us a little sample of the antipasto - it was amazing. I don't think they'd vary the quality of the food based on price. they do still have a rep to keep. Like the other posters said, it's probably a more limited menu in terms of choices.

ask to have a tasting when we went there they gave us a sampling and the food was amazing. Plus there prices were very cheap for off season so dont think you are getting a bad menu cuz of that. Jan and Feb dates should be much less expensive
