Watermill for RD??

Watermill for RD??

As Ive posted before FMIL has ants in her pants about planning the RD. She is in Maryland so Im trying to get together info for her on possible places in the Smithtown/Hauppauge area.

My cousin recommended the Watermill. Do they have small rooms? We are looking at only 35-50 people for a Friday night? I assume the prices would be closer to wedding prices than restaurant prices? And the food would be similar to wedding food that we are having the next night?

Any thoughts from Watermill gals would be appreciated!

PS - I know someone is going to say 'call them' but Im at work at a new job and trying not to make too many 'wedding calls' yet!

The room I had my CH in, the Bostonian Room might be really nice for an RD; it depends on how many people you have. Technically they are no longer a restaurant and cater more to weddings...but I do know people have bridal showers there so it might be worth it! The food is great, but then again, I would say that!

PS: for only 35-50, you are better off at a restaurant, just my opinon. I live in the area if you need recs...Garden Grill and Three Village Inn come to mind!

THe watermill is not really a restaurant, its a catering hall, so thats the type of service you would get there.

There are many restaurants in that area that would be good for a RD>

The Watermill is no longer a resturant but they do host small parties. I'm not sure about the price. If you go ask to speak to Sean or Brian

My cousin had her RD at Butterfields in Hauppauge and it was great. I know you said you were looking for something in that area.

We had my sister's BS this past Sunday at The Garden Grill in Smithtown and that was excellent also (the upstairs room can hold that amount). Speak to Matt.

Also, Bella Vita has a large room and they have great food. They are in St. James.

My sister's RD is this August at La Famiglia-- great family style food and a big enough room for that amount of people too. It's at the corner of Brooksite (where it becomes Edgewood) and Jericho just past the Bull in Smithtown.

HTH and good luck!!

I also suggest the Garden Grill. We went there for Mother's Day brunch, and seriously everything I ate was amazingly yummy. And that's hard to say for a buffet.
