Does anyone know of a place near the Watermill where we could take pics than arrive by horse and carriage?
Also, are there any hotels nearby?
How do they announce the bride and groom?
Is cocktail hour outside, inside, or both?
Any insider information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Watermill Questions?
CH can be in or out- your choice.
There is a Holidy inn express and a sheraton nearby. I think the HI offers a shuttle, but Sheraton does not.
Im not sure on pic places nearby, but are taking pics there. They have beautiful grounds so we chose them- its a one stop shop.
I am guessing the double doors are closed, then opened to announce the bride and groom (w/ the downstairs- vanderbuilt room) im not sure if the astor has double doors, ill check 2nite when i go.

But the recommended hotels from WM are Holiday Inn Express -- if you book enough rooms you get a complimentary shuttle for your guests. (we didn't use that hotel though)
B&G are announced in a pretty normal way--just have the DJ or MC make the announcement and then the doors are opened. we had our reception in the Astor suite - and that's how we did it.
You can have the CH outside or inside--depending on weather.
