Re: Watermill...vs..Villa Lombardi's
Well - I visited Watermill - Chateao Briand - Larkfield Manor. Watermill by far blew all of these away, The others had a 'cheese factor' which both my fiance and I didnt like. We got treated wonderfully even before booking @ the watermill. The price was insane as well, esepcially got what you get. They were just very sweet people. Not to mention the outdoor area - gorgeous, Inside as well! The food, so ive heard from a decent amaount of people, is very good also. The watermill includes wedding cake from Durtonies (amazing bakery!!) The entrance is breathtaking as well. They are having a Gala tonight @ 6:30pm if your curious.

I would go with Villa Lombardi's because the food there is amazing. I have had several poor food experiences at the Watermill and would not return there.

Re: Watermill...vs..Villa Lombardi's
I've been to weddings at both and enjoyed the food at Villa Lombardi's much more than the Watermill.
The cocktail hour at the Watermill wasn't too great and there wasn't enough seating for everyone.
Lombardi's cocktail hour and dinner food was sensational!
We didn't choose Villa Lombardi's only because the b.m. made us feel very pressured to make a decision. (In fact, he knew we had only looked at 2 other locations and still called me the day after to find out if we had chosen...)
They came highly recommended from a friend of ours but it wasn't for us.
Good luck!

Lombardis has amazing food. Lombardi's on the Bay is nicer but smaller.
Just make sure you don't leave a deposit if you are not 100% sure. I heard another bride had an issue with getting it back.

Re: Watermill...vs..Villa Lombardi's
Thanks Ladies,
I am going to try and go to the Gala at the watermill tonight, just to see it, however by most of the responses, the watermill isn't what I thought it might be. I have heard so bad things but it's worth looking at both of them and making a final decision. I also was thinking about the miller place inn, and east wind?? Anyone hear good\bad things about those places?? And one more..the meditterain manor.
Thanks ladies,
You gave informative responses :)

Re: Watermill...vs..Villa Lombardi's
I almost selected Watermill, so I have nothing bad to say about it, though I didn't ever go to a wedding there.
However, I have been to a wedding at Lombardi, and the food can not be beat. It is not wedding food, it is just great food. I felt like everything tasted like it was made with care, not mass-produced.

Re: Watermill...vs..Villa Lombardi's
I have been to two weddings at the Watermill. One had the cocktail hour inside, the other outside. The one outside was much prettier then the one inside. The set up was amazing. Also the VH at the watermill was impressive. I was a BM at one and they seemed very unorganized if you ask me bc they lock the bridal suite, but no one could ever find anyone to unlock the doors. I do like the downstairs room though, it is very roomy, pretty and I like the bar set up.

Re: Watermill...vs..Villa Lombardi's
We just had our wedding at Villa Lombardi's in June so I am biased obviously, but everything was absolutely perfect! A++++++++++ They surpassed all of our expectations, it was a dream. People are still talking about the food. The Estate at Eastwind was one of our top choices also. My best friend just had her wedding at the Watermill 2 weeks ago, and I thought it was great! I think you should go see them all and them decide what will be best for you. Good Luck!

Re: Watermill...vs..Villa Lombardi's
The food at Villa Lombardi's is fantastic. We attended a gala there last year and really enjoyed it. My SIL had her wedding at Watermill, she was very happy and said the staff was amazing. I guess my qualm would be that the site is a bit cookie cutter and the food was just ok.
Check out Giorgio's if you want amazing photo opps, ridiculous food and great service. We were just about to sign for the Delano Mansion which is amazing when we heard about Giorgio's. I went reluctantly knowing I had made my decision. Once we started walking around and saw the pricing we totally changed gears. We looked at about 15 locations, Giorgio's beat them all on cost as well. We booked them and I have to say they have been nothing but amazing with the planning process. We actually went to a wedding there a couple of weeks ago and while I had a critical eye watching for things to be concerned with I have to say they did an amazing job.
