Waters Edge & The Inn at New Hyde Park

Sooo my search for a RH is not over. Nope, deposit put down and everything.

I am going to check out these two places tomorrow.. has anyone ever been to a wedding at either place?
Or suggestions for any where else?

I'm actually going to The Inn at New Hyde Park for an event for my new job on monday, I'll let you know how it goes.
Have you tried Flowerfield? I didn't see it on your list.
Milleridge? I don't know what your looking for but you can check them out too!
Good luck with your search!

Did you try Westbury Manor? How much are you looking to spend? I think you want a place on the water or no? Chateau Le Mar? The Inn is very expensive, that's all I know. R u looking for LI only? Marina Del Rey and Russo's are suppose to be beautiful too.

i worked at the venetian yacht club for two years.. both in the front of the house as waitress and bridal attendant and in the back as a cook...

it is a beautiful place to get married with the water being right there.. the people are very nice and personally i think the food is good!! if it were me i would have the cocktail hour upstairs and then the reception downstairs and if you were to have a viennese hour that would be in the side room off the downstairs room.

fox hollow i heard didnt have good food and wasnt worth the price you would have to pay for it...

and i just went to a wedding at the watermill and it was a very good experience.. good service.. good food... nice place.

Fh had 2 cousins get married at westbury, so he didn't want to go there.. I have a friend (we have all the same guests) getting married at marina a week before me.. And chateau la mer and russos are booked on my date.
I didn't want to go too much higher than what I'm paying now- how expensive is the inn?

The food was one of the main reasons we booked with the inn!! Everything we've had from there was delicious and I've only heard good things.. I guess everyone has different experiences with places.. I would decide for yourself though.. I know they offer your money back if you are dissatisfied with your tasting, so I'm sure they would accommodate your concerns

Yeah, FH and I loved the Inn too, but the minimum was WAY unattainable and we had our heart set on our date. Boooo 225 for a Sat night in Sept!!! Crazy! It is gorgeous though.
