I have never done this and am TERRIFIED of the pain. I'd like to do it for the wedding and HM. My wedding is July 28th. Should I wait until a few days before or should I do it once now then again before the wedding? Just to get used to it and see how my body reacts.

Re: wax question
I have been doing this for almost 5 years now, and what I do to take the 'edge' off, is take aspirin, Tylenol or Advil. It really does help. I really do believe it's the anticipation that really gets you..but I won't lie and say it doesn't hurt..because it does. More in some areas than others. However, the result is BEAUTIFUL and I promise you, you will NOT want to go back to shaving or anything else after. I would suggest getting it done now and then again for July just so that you can see how you react to it. Good luck!!
I would go at the end of June and then again before your wedding perhaps on or around the 23rd.

Re: wax question
You can certainly drink some alcohol before hand--My spa offers some wine in the waiting area, so I just drink up before I go in! But also, there's a liquid that numbs the area a little. You can try that. The other suggestions of advil or aleve may help, never tried it but I guess it will! To be honest with you, it's not that bad. I've been doing it for years now, and you get used to it. You'll be fine!

Re: wax question
Try a cream called LMX, you can get it on-line and it numbs the area and makes it less painful.
