Have any of you ladies tried this for your envelopes. It looks like it might be messy and complicated. I would definelty love your feedback before I try.
TIA

Re: wax seal on envelopes
I was thinking about it. It's not necessarily messy, but when you mail the invitations the seals might crack when they go through the belts at the post office. If they crack, they don't look pretty at all. I think that I might just get a silver embossed sticker instead.

Re: wax seal on envelopes
I had wax seals on the inside envelope instead of the outside. I didnt seal the envelope at all except for the wax part. I thought it was a nice touch and I was also worried about the seals ripping off, cracking, getting stuck in something and tearing the whole envelope apart!
Anyway, they aren't messy if you get the faux wax which they sell at Michaels

btw in my review, I talked about the company I used to get the monogram wax seal which really looked nice and they aren't that expensive!

Re: wax seal on envelopes
i've read that you should use wax seal on inside envelope b/c if on outside it can get cracked/ripped off by postal machines.
have a look at this stuff - they claim it remains intact and is easy to use: http://www.whiteaisle.com/wax_seal.htm

Re: wax seal on envelopes
I used the faux wax seal on the outside of my envelope and hand cancelled them. I didn't have one person tell me that they came off. Everyone commented on how beautiful they were. I say go for it !!

Re: wax seal on envelopes
Hello!
I am using the real wax seal, I will put it on the inside envelopes, but I read online that you should do the wax seals on a piece of wax paper first... so if you don't like one... you don't have to use it... then after they dry... peel them up and hot glue them onto the envelope!
then it won't look sloppy!!! I AM A FREAK ABOUT EVERY LITTLE DETAIL!!!
Hope this helps you!
OH... I bought the wax at Pearl paint (only to test) b/c they didn't have a lot of color selection... So when I was in PAPAYRUS looking at invitations... I saw pretty Silver and Gold there... I bought silver...

Definitely try www.waxent.com These are faux wax seals but come in an easy easy-to-peel form.
I was going to buy these but my invitation got too heavy (I didn't want to go over 2 ounces). So I used silver filigree seals from Invitations by Dawn.
