wax seal question

wax seal question

if you used a wax seal, did you still seal your envelopes with mail glue?

i'm just concerned that the wax seal might fall off and then my envelopes won't be sealed at all

I would def still glue them - you dont want those bad boys getting damaged in any way. The seal is more for decoration - imo.

LOL, did you guys have like pre-made wax seals? I'm so confused! FH literally dripped wax on our invites and then pressed a stamper into them. Old school style! Those bad boys were totally sealed!

This! I actually poured the wax on my invites and stamped them. But I used a wax stick and a glue gun. Muuuuch faster and they do not come off.

That's exactly why my FH had to do it. He's calm and patient and I'm a lunatic so we thought he'd have a higher overall success rate. I have to say, he did a good job!

Too funny! FH took this job from me. He loved making the wax seals becuase he said it reminded him of all the fantasy novles he use to read where the characters sealed letters with wax.

However, ours were not perfect circles. I actually liked the look. Was more organic/old school.
