Re: WAX SEALS??!!!!

If you do it youself the wax is $5 for about 60 invites and the seal is also $5. It is worth saving the money to practice and do it yourself. Also--- make the seals on wax paper. Only seal the envelope with a little bit of wax and then glue your nicer wax seal on with super glue not hot glue.. obviously. IT IS WORTH IT!

Re: WAX SEALS??!!!!

thanks guys! yea, when i meant 'vendors' i only meant a website or something that has nice seals & wax to order.... i do want to do them myself since to order them from any invite place costs a RIDICULOUS amount(and i dont mind the mess - it'll be fun to try out) Do any of u ladies know of a good website or store where I can get the stuff i need?????

Re: WAX SEALS??!!!!

So easy and cheap to do yourself - go to Michael's or AC Moore and buy a stamp, a glue gun, and some glue or the wax sticks for the glue gun (much easier and faster than burning the wax yourself, though they have that too and it's still pretty cheap). Heat the glue in the gun, pump a few times on the spot and press - leave the seal down until dry and pull it up when done. Be sure to use some Pam or oil on the stamp - just a bit now and then so that the stamp comes off the seal easily - if you don't, it'll get stuck every few stamps (or at least, mine did). Mine came out easier when I did them on the envelopes themselves instead of on wax paper (which I've heard of before - to make them first, and then glue them on - they didn't look right to me, but it was really easy to do it where you wanted to seal to be on the envelope). Good luck!
