Waxed my underarms for 1st time!!

For my underarms, I have NO hair growth for 4-5 days. After that, the hair will start to grow back.

Oh my gosh, I don't know if I could ever do that. For some reason it seems like it would hurt 1000 times more than a brazilian.

I did this once and she totally botched my underarms! I would do it again though.. but not with the same person! I let a friend suggest a woman to go to... and OMG she screwed my underarms up sooo bad! I was sore for days and I broke out in this rash. I did it right before going to jamaica... so for the first 2 days there I couldn't have bare underarms because it burned too much. I had to have some sort of short sleeves! And the water hurt too. She kept going over it again and again and again... and she ripped parts of my skin off. She then went back with a tweeser and did that for about another 10 to 15 minutes! I couldn't even feel the tweezers because I was sooooo numb from all the ripping before that. I was bleeding... and another friend was there in the room with me... she was watching and the look on her face said it all. I knew it was going to be bad. My friend was about to say something to her and wouldn't allow me to tip her. (Not that I would have anyway - but she was like YOU CAN'T TIP HER FOR THAT! SHE SHOULDN'T EVEN CHARGE YOU!!!!!!!!!).

the longer the hair when you wax, the better..ishe said it lasts 2 weeks..but if the hairs are shorter when you wax, the wax might not get all the little ones that haven't grown back yet, so in a few days you might see some new hair coming through...
I would go at LEAST 2 weeks without shaving the pits before you wax them!!

I am so sorry that happened, that's horrible!!
Try Bliss, that is where i went... she got it all in 1 rip... and then just did another quick one to make sure she got everything....it was so quick too!

For something like your own wedding or a vacation it seems great, but to have to grow it out for 2 weeks to only have it last 5 days doesn't seem worth it to me

I understand that sentiment. I never wear sleeveless shirts so waiting 2-3 weeks isn't a big deal for me. And since my hair is black, I would rather have 5 days of complete smoothness than shave everyday. But if I wore sleeveless shirts a lot, I would opt for shaving.

I always wanted to try it and wondered how long it lasted. I wear a lot of sleeveless in the summer. I will have to try to work up the nerve and get it done someday.. maybe for my vacation this summer

I've been getting brazilians for over 8 years and I was recently wondering about underarms... i'm totally doing it . I wish we had this post a few weeks ago, in cash I get a rash, I don't want to be red for the wedding!!

The lady told me that the longer the hair when you wax, the longer it lasts. So if your hair is SUPERLONG it could last 2 weeks....I'm hoping mine lasts at least a week - the hairs were pretty long... but ill let you know when i start seeing stubbles...lol

not at all.. i got a 'betweeny' wax also...(its more than regular bikini but not quite a brazillian) and the bikini wax hurt 10 times more!!!!

I LOVE THE BETWEENY WAX! it is perfect and their wax is so nice. i love being able to walk afterwards.
