Waxing

Waxing

so, I've talked about this a lot. I have super sensitive skin and when I get my eyebrows waxed, it leave the tops of them red for almost 2-3 days and I get a TON of little white heads all along the tops of the brows. This is why I don't wax anymore. Anyway, a few of you suggested a different type of wax for sensitive skin. Well, I had a facial yesterday with a lady from Aveda and she said she had the sensitive wax and she would shape them up for me... well... here i am today with a huge red unibrow and a TON of little white heads all across my brows.

I guess i should just stick with tweezing...

I have super sensitive skin too! The only think I trust now is tweezing, but I have a feeling threading would be ok also? I'd be scared even to get a facial!!

Pfft! Then I'll stay far away for it! I'm content to tweeze my own!

It went well, but it is SOOOO expensive (even with the discount Joe's mom got me). But so far so good. I can see a few hairs growing in here and there, but nothing major!! thanks for asking!

I've tried threading and the same thing happens. I went somewhere on Jericho in Huntington

I have the same problem but I have blonde hair so it doesn't grow in too fast so I only need to get them done like every 1-2months!! I usually do it on a weekend when I know I wont be doing anything so that it doesn't look too strange! The things we go through as a women!!!

I know that AVON makes 'bump and redness reducing pads' that you use immediately after waxing, shaving, tweezing etc. and it helps dramatically. Sometimes I get irritation from shaving and they have really helped me! Ill FM you name etc, once I pull it up

Re: Waxing

sorry, i use the pink one for sensitive skin but any type of wax doesn't bother me so not sure if a different wax will be different. Theres nothing wrong with tweezing so keep doing that...unfortunately alot of ppl have to keep waxing for a while until their skin gets used to it but until you get to that point it can be annoying and most dont even want to bother.

It just looks awful. The few people that stopped in my office today were like, 'omg, did you have an allergic reaction to something?' lol

I'm ok with sticking to tweezing, it just stinks b/c it's hard to find someone that will shape them and tweeze them without wax. however, the girl yesterday told me that if I got the bumps today, next time she will tweeze them.

i have the same issue. i get my eyebrows done at night only and when i get home i put a drop of aveeno's soothing cream on them... when i wake up its usually gone enough that bronzer can cover it

Re: Waxing

don't wax the top. when i go, i don't let them wax the top, just the middle and under the arch. i have the same issue as you, and only on top.

my top isn't that bad... threading did work for me, now she will thread the top and wax the bottom - sorry it didn't work for you.

have you tried threading? sometimes that helps for people that get too many bumps from the wax.
