I'd like to know this too! But in suffolk county. I've googled Sonia's in East Northport, but drove past it and it looks super small, and have seen European Wax Center in commack. Has anyone had any experience in either one of these? Any other recommendations? I'm really scared to get one. I think I want to get one soon as a 'trial' to see if I can or would want to get one for closer to the wedding! haha

Re: Waxing
Elizabeth Drucker Skincare in Hewlett. Make sure you go to Elizabeth.
In Suffolk, Polished in Bayport.
Believe it or not, Joseph Christopher in Long Beach was fine for waxing, even though they may not get great reviews for everything else.
I am an Esthetician and did waxing for a long time so I know what's good and what's not.

I've been to Sonia's waxing in Roslyn. They really do a great job. The girl I go to is sweet and quick.

I've only ever been to Sonia's in East Northport. Someone recommended them and I LOVE them...but they are kinda pricey ($60 for phone appt. and $52 if you make an appt there). I'm afraid going to another place is going to be more painful since I feel like Sonia's really takes their time and uses good wax (although not sure if it really matters lol). Either way, I would recommend them and would ask for Vanessa - she's really sweet!
Oh and for the original post...Sonia's is sort of a hike to get there. I live in East Meadow, right near Bellmore, and it takes a good 40 minutes to get there, sometimes more when there's traffic on Jericho Turnpike. I used to work near there so the location was good for me if I made appts right after work.

THIS! Love Dede! Such a sweetheart! She was formerly at Nature's Touch in East Setauket before she opened up her own place.

I went to Racine's in East Islip. The girl who did it was super nice and made me feel really comfortable (if that's at all possible). I asked her how she got into it, because I can't imagine why anyone would want to, and she said shes a nurse for the elderly and seeing nice young hoo-ha's are such a relief..lol..awkward but funny.

I glad you say that cause that's where I made my appointment! It was just so close to my house

Re: Waxing
I go to European Wax Center for my brazillian waxes. They're great, and they don't use strips to pull it off, they use thick wax. It's better for your skin
