waxing rave

GIrls ,

I just had to share the best waxer in the world. I went for my pre-wedding wax and this was the first time I was doing this. I went to Frasada in Oceanside and Ella did it. It was almost pain free. She is so nice and quick and gentle.

Ok...now im off to pick up my dress

Glad you had a good experience! I would 100% recommend Bliss Spa in NYC. I got a brazilian there before my b-pics two weeks ago. Best brazilian I have ever gotten in this country HANDS DOWN. So good. FM me for any questions, the Bliss Brazilian is $70. Worth every penny. I'm getting my underarms, legs, arms, and brazilian done before the wedding!!!

Do you need to go a few days before the wedding so any irritation calms down? I've never done a full body wax.... just legs but it was a long time ago and i don't remember.

I'm going the morning of the RD which is 2 nights before the wedding. There isn't a lot of redness, I guess it depends on the person's skin. It's only red for a few hours on me and I'm pretty pale. But I have thin hair. It also doesn't grow back for days with the Bliss wax! Awesome!

I thought the brazilian was supposed to last for a few weeks. I called the spa in oceanside and spoke to the chick that does them and she said it last 3 weeks to a month and that you should get it done about 2 days before.

My other thought on this is that all you girls are thin and I am not....I don't want to feel weird about doing it but I do because I am not a skinny minnie...lol.

You don't want to feel weird about waxing because of your weight? If that's the case, DON'T WORRY!!! You have nothing to worry about at all!!! Please!! Also, waxing definitely doesn't stay completely hairless for 3 weeks. No way. I've waxed a million times, and the longest it's stayed completely hair free is a week I would say. It is still 100% better results than shaving any day. And the Bliss wax was definitely the best I've had outside of Argentina (BEST waxing ever!). FM me if you have questions though! xox

I'm a chunky too!!! But I'm thinking of giving it a go.

I used to be so embarassed about my body, but I'm getting over it as I get older. I'm still working hard on losing weight and becoming more healthy, but being naked in front of people whose job it is to see naked people (docs, dress people, etc) isn't bothering me nearly as much as it used to.

We should make appointments together and give it a try! (not in the same room, though, lol)

I'm def no skinnie minnie. At first I thought i would feel weird too but she made me feel so comfortable that the weirdness went away quickly.

Re: waxing rave

I got waxed once and I literally had to shave the next day. I dont know if its because it was a 'good place' I forget where I went.. but all I remember is it hurting like absolute hell and then having to shave immediately! I unfortunetly inherited my mothers italian hair genes

I want to try again but im scaaaaared.

I love Ella at Frasada! I highly recommend her as well, I actually started going to her a few months ago because of a post I had read on here recommending her. She does an excellent job, and talks to you the whole time so it goes by so quickly.
