Waxing--when to do it?

Ok so I've never done bikini waxing before (well I've done it myself, never gone to get it done) but I think I want to before the HM.....how far before should I go??

Get it done at least three to four days in advance juSt in case you have sensitive skin! Go for the brizillian it's so much better!

3 to 4 days? ok.....how far before do you think I could do it? I know that week is going to be jammed, I was thinking about trying to go next week which would be like 10 days before.....how long does it last? haha these seem like such silly questions....

No it's not a siily question! Make sure you go somewhere nice and clean! I recommend Posh hair salon in babylon Village so nice and relaxing; they give ypou wine while you wait! But it usually last about two weeks depending on the person!

I know, right! I think it will be ok though....just trying to figure out the right time and where to go....anyone know any place that's good in suffolk, more eastern suffolk? I'll be in Wading River for the week of the wedding....

I have been using 'Polished' salon in Sayville for a few years. So far, I've been happy with their service. Definitely take 2-3 ibuprofen 20-30 minutes before your appointment. It helps considerably. And, the pain is only temporary. You'll feel great walking out of there........and, honestly, sex is better with a brazilian. TMI, I know.

Do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of Tend Skin. Use it when you get out of the shower. (Squirt the liquid onto a cottom ball and wipe your who-ha area well.) You want to use it at least a week prior to the waxing. Before you go to the waxing do it again. It helps with the pull of the hair. It's actually not as bad as without. Also take some advil about a half hour before.
I agree with the others that said do it 3-4 days before. You're going to be super sensitive since it's your first time.

Since we're on the topic, what exactly happens when you get it done? Like I know with Brazilians they usually put you in funny positions. But how does it work with a regular bikini waxing? Do you leave your underwear on?
