waxing/laser removal

i think someone started a similar post but i couldn't find it. My question is have any of you girls ever get ure lip waxed or maybe laser hair removed. My hair is really light and u can baraly see it but it bothers me cuz i know its there. I dont think i would wax but how much would laser removal cost?

I'm not sure about cost but....my firned had her pits done and she said it burns for a day and you just want to rub/scratch it but that makes it irritated...... and you ahve to go for more than one treatment usually to make sure they get it all....

I have gotten my arms and underarms lasered and it was pricey but so worth it...but my arms take a while so I am sure the lip would not be that expensive. My gyno just started offering laser hair removal in the other part of his office...I go to contemporary women's care in smithtown. If you are a patient you get huge discounts on laser hair removal....but if not I think the lip wouldn't be expensive. It takes about 8 treatments to fully remove it all and they guarantee that if it grows back they will treat it until it is totally gone.

Oh...and pain wise...it isn't too bad. The pits sting but only for like 10 minutes but that is a really sensitive spot...the arms pinch a little when you are getting it done but no after pain at all for either.

thanks, i would love to get my armpits done too, shaving gets so annoying and for waxing i always have to wait 2 weeks so grows. I never shaved or waxed the lip air, my hair is really blond, my fh says he never noticed it, and usually i dont either unless im in really good light, like at the school bathroom,. lol thats wen it pisses me off.

Oh I know...if I could afford it I would laser everything..being 100% Italian doesn't help in the hair area....I would joke that my arms were so hairy that I felt like a Yeti.

I had laser done it was the best $ I have ever spent. No more hair at all, or 1 or 2 really light no big deal . You should call Abby the lady I went to she works in her own small office and always works with price it depends on how much hair you have. She also does microderabrassions, and other amzing skin treatments. I have them done and love it !!!!! my skin will be in tip top shape by the wedding.
I sent you the link.

Re: waxing/laser removal

I had my armpits done at my dermatologists office and I think it was about $250 a session. I went for a few sessions but never finished so I have a lot less hair. I really should just go back and get it done. Anyway the pain depends on how strong they make the laser depending on the hair type etc. They usually start with a lighter laser then increase it after a few sessions again due to hair type etc. And as the laser gets stronger, the more painful it is but its really not that bad. I was used to waxing my pits so I think I already killed all the nerve endings there! It sort of feels like someone is snapping you with a rubber band. You could try your dermatologist and see if there is a way they can put it through your insurance as well.
