Is it expensive? How much does it usually cost? Danielle and I are going to be moving into a basement apartment and we were thinking of waynes coating the living room and dining room area which is one big room. We were going to paint the upper part of the room a medium gray and the waynes coating, white.... Scott

I think you can buy prefabricated panels at Home Depot, pretty cheaply. My father had put this up in our bathroom for us in our old apartment because the walls were disgusting. It is easy to install. To be honest, knowing my father too, it had to be pretty cheap!

It completely depends upon the type of wainscotting you choose. If you want a simple, New England-esque beadboard, then it's reasonable. If you wanted mahogany wainscotting, we are talking big $$$$.

Now I dont think we are going to do this....I think we are leaning more to painting all the walls and sponge painting one or two walls....Its hard because it is a basement apartment and we cannot do anything to dark.
