Between trying to save for a place to live after we are married and possibly a LI wedding, I don't think we can afford the two.
What or how can we cut costs without looking cheap? We have even discussed getting married in Aruba although deep down inside I want to walk down the aisle!
Thanks for advice.

Re: Ways to cut costs for wedding
Liz a VFW is a Veterans of Foreign Wars hall. Not sure how these come about but they are locations where veterans meet and they have a room that can be used for a party. I remember you asking for info on your rehearsal dinner-did everything work out for you?
We booked the photography and video already and so glad we did this early b/c we are both pleased with who we booked. We booked our honeymoon and got a great deal on it too. I already know what invites I want and of course they are crazy $$$. So I am going to print them myself and pay a fraction of what we would have paid if we had the vendor do everything. What helps us is that I am purchasing things little by little now without affecting the wedding budget. I am also purchasing things on sale-this helps. Since we have some time, I have been researching each item in order save a little more here and there. Researching helps if you have the time to do it.
