WCC Mini Review

So last night i went to the woodbury country club for my cousin's 25 th wedding anniversary. So i promised to write a mini review:
Food: I totally missed the cocktail hour because my brother wasn't ready when we were.... Boo
But when we sat down they took our orders right away. The choices were chateau briand, a chicken dish, crusted salmon and a vegetable turnover.
The first gave us a pasta dish... it was spiral pasta with a mushroom cream sauce. It was really good except FH felt that his portion was really small but i'm sure the servers don't give bigger portions to people who they think will eat more. No biggie because i offered to give some of mine to FH. The next course was the salad course pretty good and standard salad.
Dinner came out quick and thank god because FH was hungry. I ordered the vegetable turnover and it was really good. It looked like a spinach pie without the feta cheese. FH got the chicken which was really yummy. One of my cousins got the crusted salmon... also really good. I was enjoying some this morning because my dad took home his salmon. My brother got the chateau briand which i didn't taste at all but one of my aunts said that it was very tender. The sides were very good as well. I got a baked tomato with a crumb top. Everyone got the mashed red potatoes with baby carrots and asparagus. Dinner was satisfying and I wasn't too upset that we missed CH.
Dessert was good. My cousin didn't opt for anything too special seeing that it was a 25th anniversary. After she cut her cake she they came out with some tartufos which were sooo good and different. I've never been to a RH that served tartufos for dessert. She also had a sundae bar and cordials. I couldn't even touch the cake because i was pretty full.
Open bar: I only ordered the same drink all night but i was a little disappointed that they didn't stock blueberry stoly's. Instead they only had orange vodka. Only thing i have to say is that the bartender wasn't too nice to me... he was really rushing me to make a decision on my drink and was kinda mean. So i didn't tip him even when i went back for more drinks.
Service: With that being said about the bartender i'll talk about the service. Except for the bartender the service was great! They came to take out orders right away. Our servers at the table were great. Whenever someone left the table they picked up everyone's napkins and folded them so that when they came back they'd have a neatly folded napkin. They all wore white gloves. THey were good about refilling our water when we needed more. FH and walked outside the room and I don't know how this guy saw this but he asked to take a look at FH's wine glass and took it away. At first FH didn't know what he was doing but the guy said there was a crack in the glass. What a good eye!

Atmosphere: I thought WCC was gorgeous. We went for a walk outside and even though i was freezing it was great. They have a huge outdoor area. The fountains and bridges are gorgeous... any WCC brides will have such beautiful pics.

All in all I had a great time! They threw a great party. FH and I so much fun. I hope this helps the WCC brides. FM if you have any questions!
