I'd love some of your opinions, especially from ladies that got married at these venues.I have started to narrow down my choices and we can either do a Friday at Bridgeview (which i love!) or a Saturday night at WCC (which is a more $ but convenient for our many Out of town guests).
All you WCC brides, did you hear the music of the other wedding that was going on at the same time as yours? I love the venue but I am very concerned with having another wedding at the same time as mine. How can you not hear the music from thewedding above you? Do you see the other bride or guests from the other wedding/event at all? My nightmare is having a Sweet 16 above my wedding and having little annoying teenagers lurking around and hearing Miley Cyrus blasting during my first dance.
All you BVYC brides, if any of you got married on a Friday or Sat in the summer: did you hit a lot of traffic around the area? That area is very populated in the summer and I am nervous there will be a lot of traffic. Was the dock area very crowded with boats? Did you hear any noise from the Lobster restaurant next door?
I also need a hotel close by and the BVYC only has the Allegria hotel which I think is expensive and may book up fast in the summer. I don't want my guests to have to spend a lot of $ on a hotel.
Thank you all in advance for your advice and opinions... this website is a great tool especially since my FH is not much help and is annoyed at this process already ;) haha

Re: WCC or Bridgeview Yacht Club... please help :)
I am getting married at BYC on a Friday! I love that it is one wedding at a time and I think everything about BYC is amazing! As for hotels FH I will be staying at the Allergria. We don't have many out if towners, but we plan in giving info on the Allergria and a hotel in RVC. Do you have a lot of people from out of town?

I believe that there is a floor that separates each of the RH rooms at WCC. Im getting married downstairs the garden room i.e the basement and the other room is on the 2nd floor so yo shouldnt hear their music. the first floor room-- the room straight ahead as you walk in is the cocktail hour room.

Thanks ladies!
Wcc: we are looking at the downstairs room with the pool cocktail area. There's a lot of great hotels near by.
BVYC: I have a lot of out of town guests that's my hotel concern! Is the Allegria nice??

Allegria is really nice but I heard that it is very expensive. I would call them I am sure they will give you a quote over the phone as to the price per night for a wedding block.
I would try to find people who got married on a weekend in the summer at Bridgeview. When I use to go to that area there were always alot of traffic because of people going to Patty McGees and Montego Bay. By the end of the night there were people who drank a few too many wandering around!
But I have not been there in a while so it may have changed.

I dont think the bars are as crazy anymore, but you should ask about it. My wedding is April 27th so it is before the summer kicks off.
Call BYC and ask for Eric!

I am getting married at BYC this summer and I have been to two other weddings there during the summer months. I also live in the area in Long Beach. You will not hear anything at all from any of the other clubs and restaurants. As far as traffic is concerned, the traffic in that area on a friday evening is really no different than the traffic anywhere else. The difficulty with traffic is more so in the town of Long Beach and not really Island Park. The Allegria is absolutely beautiful. They blocked out rooms for me for 199 per night, but I think that is on the cheaper side. My wedding is also on a Thrisday night. I would definitely call to find out. My FH and I will be staying there and so will a few of our suffok county guests. My out of state guests are staying in Garden City. Choose the RH that you love most and that you can truly envision yourself on your wedding day. Best of luck and FM me if ou have any other questions or concerns.

Thank you so much! I have to stop thinking about my guests so much during wedding planning. I will have my FH read this thread because he is nervous about traffic. All my college friends and my Fh's moms family is from out of town. All the out of town weddings i had to stay in a hotel that was like $150-$200 so I guess it is what it is... thank you again, I will FM you if and when i have more questions haha. Congrats on your wedding being so soon!! :)
