My FH and I put a bid two weeks ago on a fab house in Westchester county and it was accepted! However, until contracts were signed I wanted to keep it under wraps. We heard just today that the contracts have been signed and our deposit check for 10% of the price was cashed as of this morning!!! Yay!
This is amazing and I cannot believe it. When we went looking we DID NOT expect to bid so fast. It was the 7th house we saw and literally I knew after walking in the door and stepping in 2 feet that it was 'the one'.
It will require a hefty amount of work to keep it up (it was built in 1926!) but it has so much charm and feels like HOME. Plus it's on a half acre which is a rare find in lower Westchester.
YAY!!

Port Chester/Rye Brook. Right off of King Street.
I grew up in Rye so I love the area. My sister lives in PC, my parents now live in White Plains and my brother in Rye so we are keeping it in the area
