Our lawyer just called to tell us that the seller signed the contract. Now we need to get a good mortgage. Any advice/tips? TIA

We used Chase for our mortgage since we bank with them, they are so big, and my DH's uncle (I guess he's my uncle now too) works for Chase, and we trust him. We spoke to one other guy from another co that our Real Estate Attorney recommended. He offered us a lower rate than Chase, but had tons of fees and he seemed somewhat shady and unprofessional - he was eating while talking on the phone w my DH. Sorry - as I am writing this I am realizing that this isn't too helpful. I guess the piont is to try to find someone you can trust - which I know isn't so easy. Sorry to be a bummer.

we used wells fargo but that's because it was a co op..i'm sure you can get great deals..my favorite bank is bethpage federal credit union..try them..congrats
