I saw a really great sleigh bed by Hooker www.hookerfurniture.com. Hooker seems to have great furniture, pretty solid & heavy at reasonable prices. I saw the bed a local store but I usually order everything I see in the stores here from North Carolina.
On the Hooker website they have a search function so you can search for stores that carry their furniture near you.

I like how some of the Hooker beds (that sounds bad, doens't it) have lower footboards. We were just talking about getting the footboard to match our headboad, but it's too high. DH is tall and needs to hang his feet off the end of the bed sometimes.

did you check the jcpenney website?
They have several sets reasonably priced. This one is listed at $727 for the 5-piece set (we actually have this set and LOVE IT!!)
Our entire home is furnished with Jcpenney furniture and we love it. Good Luck.

I just saw that JCPenney sleight bed set a couple of weeks ago .. and think it looks beautiful!!
We have something very, very similar .. made by Broyhill .. only if you look at the JCP footboard .. it has that classic sleighbed curve .. the Broyhill set that we got .. is a flat, panel-like footboard.
Here's a picture of our set .. which included the bed, the dresser, the mirror, the chest and 2 nightstands .. for about $2000. (The set should be available from anyone who stocks Broyhill .. I've seen it in several furniture places)

Try www.rosefurniture.com. They are located in NC. They deliver, and the prices are alot cheaper than the stores. I saved about $2,000 on my bedroom furniture.

Ethan Allen has a few beautiful sleigh beds. Pottery Barn has a nice one also.

This is my sleigh bed from Ethan Allen: it's from the 18th Century Mahagony Collection (not sure if they still have this collection...but they always have beautiful furniture).

We have the JC Penney set as well and love it. No problems with any of the pieces. We have the dresser with mirror for me, the tall dresser for DH, the bed and 2 nightstands. We waited until they had one of those promos where we could pay it off over 12 months with no interest, so that we didn't pay the whole amount at once.
