We are looking for an apartment, anyone renting one?

With all of the wedding planning and other stuff I haven't posted in awhile and we completely forgot that on top of planning the wedding, we also have to find an apartment!
Anyway, I am wondering if anyone out there is renting or know someone who is renting a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment between $900-1200 a month? We are really only looking in the mid to eastern Nassau Co area to Huntington/Babylon area. We would like to stay above the S. State Parkway.
We are trying to find one for rent by owner (we both paid big bucks (1 month rent)to real estate agents who did nothing but basically give us the addresses to our current places), but if in dire need, we will work with a realtor.
Oh yeah, and we need the apartment for June 1st. Hoping someone has something Thanks!!!

we are moving out of a really nice apartment in North Flushing (by the Throggs Neck Bridge- 2 blocks from LIRR - and 5 min from Bayside)

Its 3 BR...1 huge master...1 medium...1 small
2 BR (its a duplex...1 on each floor)
all wooden floor
tudor
(we were paying $2000...don't know if she would raise it)

I don't need to get rid of it (thats my lardlady's problem), but just thought I'd let you guys know
its definitely through a realtor

Thanks for all of your replies, we are going to check some of these things out. Looked in the Penysaver last week, but some were rented already! I read the post about the apartment in Babylon, but I thought there was already a tenant... maybe I was wrong. Anyway, thanks again and let me know if you here of anything!

Denise had said that she has a tenant already ... unless he decides to move out after she 'ups' his rent!
