We are so going about the HM backwards

So - FH and I decided to push back our dream honeymoon (over 2 weeks in Tahiti and Bora Bora) for our one year anniversary due to the expense and paying for most of the wedding and buying a house at the same time. So - we are looking in to something less expesive for the actual honeymoon.

Well, I just got a call from FH - the first yr 'anniversarymoon' (as I am calling it), is partially booked. He booked half of it - of which I am SUPER excited about. But...we have no idea where we are going for the actual honeymoon...is there something wrong with this picture? lol

No. We change our mind EVERY day.
I think people put too much emphasis on location.
It is your HM...anywhere you go will be special!
God willing, we will have the rest of our lives to travel

ETA- And I mean that in a NICE way! Things get so misconstrued on the computer!

You can usually get cheaper flights to the caribbean so thats an option!!

It is backwards, but I totally understand where you're coming from

Perhaps for your mini-moon (that's what i'm calling the HM right after your wedding) you can go somewhere domestic ... like a trip to Disney World, or Chicago, or California .... it's much more affordable than going overseas and still really fun

Have fun in Tahiti - i'm soooo jealous

try an all inclusive resort in the caribbean. or bermuda but bermuda is pricey. cruises are a great option too. very economical

we are looking at all inclusives in Mexico and the Caribbean - there are definitely some deals out there. Thanks for the suggestions!

For now we are not going on a HM we are waiting for 1yr as well. I figured since we won't be officially living with eachother until after the wedding we can just stay home and get ourselves organized. We can do something big after a year when we have more money and more vacation days saved up.
