NO!!!!!!!!
I'm a little shocked. He said he isn't 'churchy' and he didn't think he was the best person for the job. I can understand that a little but it's like 4 sentences!
Only reason we asked him is because its FH's favorite Uncle. We knew he wasn't a church-goer but I didn't think he would say no

wow.... thats tough.... im not sure what churchy has to do with doing a reading... my siser had a gay guy do a reading... you dont get more 'not churchy' than that!

Is he really quiet or shy? Some people get very nervous and anxious to speak/read in front of groups of people. Maybe he's embarrassed about that and just used 'not churchy' as an excuse?
