Hey all well we booked our Aruba honeymoon today we are leaving on the Monday after our wedding and returning the following Tuesday. We are staying at the Allegro. Any suggestions for things to do or see? Elisa

We also went to Aruba for our honeymoon. If you are a meat eater, definitely check out El Gauchos...the best steak! There is the natural bridge, which we never made it to...lol...but I hear its interesting to see. Also, there is a lot of great shopping in town. Enjoy!

Hear are some good restaurants in Aruba: Chalet Suisse, El Gaucho, The Lighthouse, The Flying Fish Bone (ask for a table on on the beach--it is very romantic!) Both restaurants in the Hyatt are also good. (The Hyatt is right next to the Allegro). In town there is a good Gucci Store and a lot perfume stores. Have a great time!!

Book a sunset horseback ride with Rancho Notorious. My FI and I rode with them in January and it was fabulous. We got a private ride for $10 more pp and it was definitely worth it.

We will soon be booking Aruba as well. Haven't made it to the agent yet, but with in the next couple of weekends! How is the Allegro? Many people say it is nice! Just curious as to a general price range that is current, if possible? Thanks, Nancy

We are going for nine days and eight nights and booked it at 5,000 for the both of us including airfare. Prices vary depending on time of year and style of room. Any more question ask.

We stayed at the Allegro in Sept. 2000. The place is nice, the service is good. We did the all-inclusive deal, which is the best deal. We booked an upper room (they were a little more money) and asked for an upgrade when we got there and were upgraded to the penthouse suite. Jacuzzi in the room and all. You get t-shirts & a bottle of champagne when you check in. There is a casino on site, if you like to gamble. The drinks are a little on the weak side; we're not big drinkers, so we didn't care. If you drink beer or wine, you'll be fine. There is a nice pool, but we spent all out time on the beach (after the wedding, you will want to do nothing but sit & veg.) The food ranged from ok to great. There are several options, and you pretty much are guaranteed food at almost any time of the day. You have to make reservations at the fancy Italian restaurant, it’s nice, but request a table away from the waterfall, otherwise it's too noisy. My recommendation is the Tradewinds in the evening. It's outside dining, the menu is the same every day, but the food is very good. The filet mignon is the BEST (It was so good, we went back the last two nights we were there and I had it twice.) NOTE: the 'live shows' are pathetic. I work in entertainment, but I was not being picky. They are all lip synched. The Grease night was the worst; it's the soundtrack for the movie!
