We booked our Lighting Designer!!!!

OMG i am SOOOOOOO excited about this!!!! we are getting uplighting against the walls, and we are hanging white japanese lanterns above the dancefloor! i wanted to do pinspotting on the centerpieces, but w/50 centerpieces it was going to be too much money.

i called around a few places, and all of the 'shee shee' lighting companies wanted 8k+ for what i wanted! i found a lighting company right here in farmingdale that is totally reasonable! they are called luminous designs and their website is: www.luminousld.com.

whooo hooo so excited! lighting totally makes a difference to a room!

here are some inspirational pictures....

ETA: We are also doing a monogram gobo

Re: We booked our Lighting Designer!!!!

That's beautiful! Congratulations!!!! It will be BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I'm going to give them a call! I wanted to do a monogram gobo, too, but my DJ doesn't do them. I wonder if they could just do that. I would also love the look of 'water' on the dance floor since we're by the water... can I ask you what they charged you?

You're so close to the big day! Congratulations!!!

i'm not sure if they would come out just to do a gobo, but it's worth calling to find out! i know they can definitely create the water pattern on your dancefloor--not sure how much that would cost though.

beautiful!

I agree!

And I'm sure she won't mind me adding... I have a few of Icherian's actual reception pictures from The Knot. Everything came out beautifully! I'm hoping to create the same look!
