We looked at Bid a Wee and a shelter before making the decision. The shelters had a lot of dogs that were way too big for our tiny house. They had a few smaller dogs but they were howling and I didn't want a howling Beagle. They had some puppies but they had a contagious virus and my parents have a dog that is 13 and wouldn't do well with a virus. (We are still with my parents for 1 1/2 weeks until we close on our house.
We bought a Cockapoo, she is 9 weeks onld and a doll, her name is Daisy. she is soo cute. I will post pics in a few minutes when they upload from my camera.
Okay... Since my digital camera broke this weekend, I took pics with my camera phone. So the quality suxs but they are all I have for now.
CONGRATS!! where did you get her from? (plz dont say a pet shop!)

A lot of pet shops use puppy mills, which are really horrendous.
We got one of our dogs from a pet shop and he was soooooo sick- but now he is fine- he is 15 and the best dog ever.

Are You Kidding?!?!?!?!
ALL puppies from Pet Shops are from Pupymills and BackYard Breeders... no reputable breeder would EVER sell to a pet shop, although EVERY pet shop claims they get from breeders..... i will find a link so you can read up on it.....
also remember, everytime someone buys from a pet shop they are supporting puppymills, and giving them business.... also, for evey dog bought from a pet shop one in a shelter dies

AWWW congrats!! we have a cockapoo tooo!!! they are the best dogs!! you have to post pics!! here's one of frodo... it's not the best shot, but he's nice and fluffy!!
they can range from 15-30+ lbs.... i have a very big cockapoo.... 40 lbs! 40lbs if mush!

I think everyone should stop making comments about people getting animals from a pet shop AFTER they have already gotten the puppy.....its ok to warn them ahead of time but why make them feel like an idiot when they have already gotten the dog?

its not to make them feel like an idiot.. its to warn those who are Thinking about getting one from a pet shop and so that they know in the future NOT to get from a pet shop. maybe i shouldnt then.. ignorance is a bliss

No, it is no problem, letting people know not to purchase from a puppy shop. People will buy from any pet shop they want to, no matter how many times you tell them it is bad. You know .

although that may be true in some rare cases, its not usually! most ppl who buy from pet shops dont know the facts... after they do they rethink buying from one. only greedy ppl would buy from one knowing the facts. i almost bought from a pet shop.... then i learned about it. Education saves dogs lives!

Okay... I won't say where I got my dog from... All I will say is that I am totally head over heals in love and she is wrecking my poor moms house... Very cute though. She sleeps upside down paws spread like a dead chicken. She Went on the wee wee pad twice all by herself!!!! Of course my digital camera broke.. I think (won't turn off or on.. stuck in the in between stage) right after I took pics of her. I will post some as soon as I get it fixed... or take a pic with my phone.
