we decided to end things since it wasnt working out...guess its better to know now but it still sucks!

I am so sorry for what you are going thru. I was previously engaged five years ago and I was devastated when my FI had called off our wedding. At the time it felt like it was the end of my world. Looking back now I am so thankful because if I had gone through with the wedding I would not have met my FH who I can confidently say is the love of my life. I am sure right now you are hearing a lot of 'everything happens for a reason' but try to find solace in that, because it is true. I hope you find peace in your decision. I promise it will get better.

I 100% agree with this.

I'm back after a cancelled engagement with someone who is so much better for me.

I hope in a few months you'll be able to look back on this as one of the smartest decisions you ever made. I thank god every day I didn't marry that other guy.
