Wow, I didn't know that if you get married in a church you can't say your own vows at all! That's a big blow to me! Hmmm...I don't like that but I guess there's really nothing we can do!

We can't either at our church, but our Deacon said he would incorporate things we would have said to one another into the ceremony. Maybe they can do the same!

Wow that sucks! Glad Im getting married at my RH.
I think those suggestions are good if u really want to express your own feelings in words to each other. Maybe give lil romantic speeches to each other during the reeception.

Yeah seems Like it is what I'll have to do. I love my church and I love being Catholic so I have to follow the rules. Well, this lets FH off REEEEAAAALLLLY easy!! LOL He will be ecstatic! We will do somethign during reception though so I'll be happy to burst his little joy bubble he will have for 3 minutes!

I never knew you couldn't do that. No disrepsect to all the catholics on here (I went to catholic school all my life) but this yet another reason I can't stand the church. Its funny how growing up catholic and going to catholic school its done nothing but turn me away from the church and its practices.
